Peggy married John McNairy Gatlin on 22 February 1826. They had five children: my 3rd-great-grandfather William Dow Gatlin, Nancy L. Gatlin, Mark Alexander Gatlin, John G. Gatlin, and James Gatlin. Peggy died on 3 September 1886 at her home near Nashville, Tennessee. She was buried at Gower Cemetery.
