Ivy M. Andre, the wife of George Julius Andre, was born on 17 May 1891 in Missouri. She and George had two sons. George predeceased her on 14 June 1950. Ivy died on 26 March 1973 and was buried in New Saint Marcus Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Tombstone Tuesday: George Julius Andre

George Julius Andre was born in St. Louis, Missouri on 5 April 1891. He was the son of George H. Andre and Elizabeth Anstedt. His sister Dorothea was the second wife of my great-grandmother's brother Joseph John Gersbacher. George was married to Ivy, and they had two sons. He was a private first class in the 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division during World War I. He died on 14 June 1950 and is buried in New Saint Marcus Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Tombstone Tuesday: Joseph John and Dorothea (Andre) Gersbacher

Joseph John Gersbacher was born on 8 May 1879 in Niederwihl, Waldshut, Baden, Germany. (In the United States, he gave his date of birth as 12 May 1880.) He was the son of John Gersbacher and Kunigunde Dreier. His second wife, Dorothea Andre, was born on 28 June 1887 in St. Louis, Missouri. Joseph died on 4 September 1970, and Dorothea died on 16 January 1988. They are buried in New Saint Marcus Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
